English Vinglish showed good jump over the weekend

On Friday English Vinglish opened to a poor response all across India. In multiplexes the collections were 15 – 20 % in the morning shows. English Vinglish opened to a much lesser collection in single screens than multiplexes. As a result the first day collection will come out to be very poor until & unless the film shows huge turn around in the evening & night shows.

English Vinglish is not a film for the youth, it is basically a family oriented film that is why it is bound to open low. So this film has a very good chance to pick up in the evening & night shows.

Now the first day numbers are out. The collection of English Vinglish is very low approximately 2.25 crore nett. Some multiplexes showed good collection in the evening shows & the reports of the film are very good among the multiplex audience but it remains to be seen how much the film jumps over the next two days.

The most important day of the movie is Saturday. And the film must show a huge jump on Saturday. If normal films shows a 25 – 30 % jump on Saturday then it is good but English Vinglish has a different picture. The collection of the film on Friday itself is very low so it should witness a much higher jump to stay in the long run. It should show a bigger jump than last week release Oh My God, Again Oh My God had a holiday on Tuesday but English Vinglish has no holidays.

The 2.25 crore nett figures is only for the Hindi version of the film, the film is also released in Tamil & Telegu. Now let us go through the territorial breakdown of the film on Friday.

Now let us see what English Vinglish did on Saturday. English Vinglish showed a huge jump on Saturday. The collection nearly of English Vinglish on Saturday is nearly double than that of Friday. It is the biggest jump for a film on Saturday in recent years. The collection of the film on Saturday is approximately 4.50 crore nett & the two days total stands for 6.75 crore nett.

Collection of Oh My God in its course of run

Oh My God is rock steady on Wednesday. It collected around 3.50 crore nett on that day. Despite the previous day was a holiday the collections did not drop by much & are only slightly lower than its first day.

The total collection of the film till Wednesday stands at 32.50 crore nett & the first week will likely to finish just more than 35 crore nett. And this a very good recovery from an average first day which was only 4 crore nett.

Oh My God is doing excellent business in areas like Mumbai, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh & Central India & the best collections have come from Gujarat.  The eastern India & southern India have recorded lower collections but are steady throughout the week.  Eastern Punjab should have been a strong performer but collections are low there since the film has not released in most of the areas of the circuit.

Two new films are releasing this Friday English Vinglish & Kismat Love Paisa Dilli. But Oh My God will also behave like a new film & will give a tough competition to them making the battle between three contenders.

Oh My Got has sustained very well over the weekdays & it is certain that the occupancy level of Oh My God will be higher than the other two films. But collection of the film will depend on how much screen space it gets at the theatres.

The two new films English Vinglish & Kismat Love Paisa Dilli will not get a very good opening & will depend on word of mouth of the audience. As a result there are very good chances that Oh My God becomes no 1 on this Friday.

In Kanpur Oh My God showed rock steady collections throughout the week. The Thursday collections are just 15% lower than the first day collection at Kanpur. Now let us see the day by day first week collections of Oh My God at Kanpur.

The collection of the film on Monday is even better than Friday. The film collected 4.50 crore nett on Monday as per as early estimates. The collection of the film on Friday was low still it is rarely seen that the collection on Monday comes out higher than Friday.

Good films like Vicky Donor & Kahaani which performed well at the box office after a poor start could not even had a better Monday than Friday . The collection of Oh My God are down by only 30% on Monday from Sunday while generally films show a 50% fall on Monday from Sunday. The evening shows on Monday were strong as Tuesday is a holiday. The Monday figure indicates that if there were no cricket match on Sunday then the collection of suday would have been 8 – 8.50 crore.

The film collected 21 crore nett in its first four days & the week is heading towards more than 30 crore nett. And the collection can even touch 33 crore nett depending on the collection on tues day which is a holiday.

From here on the lifetime collection of the film can go over 50 crore nett & it remains to be seen hoe much the film collects in its long run.

At this moment of time the movie can easily be declared a HIT.

In Gurgaon the movie had a 22% jump on Monday than that from Friday. It may be first time in the history of Indian cenema that a movie jumped so much on monady than that of Friday & more surprisingly Monday is not a holyday. "Oh My God" Box Office collections over the entire weekend

Oh  My God is not basically an Akshay Kumar starrer film. Akshay Kumar is not in the main lead while Paresh Rawal is in the main Hero. Though Akshay Kumar plays the part of God. It is basically a word of mouth film. The main audience for the movie are family & ladies & the fate of the film depends upon its growth on Saturday & Sunday. 

Gujarat will open well since the movie has a Gujarati flavor but the business in other parts of the country will have to depend on word of mouth of the movie. Now lets see what it does over the entire weekend.

Oh My God opened 30% - 40% at the multiplexes on Friday morning which is below the mark. The collections are better in few parts of India but major parts of India remained low. Now everyone is waiting what happens to the evening & night shows as collection in the morning shows are not good.

The best opening state was Gujarat due to the film’s local flavor. The film did not open well in other parts of the country since it is not for masses or youths & is for family audiences at the multiplexes.

So the main business of the movie was expected to come from family audiences on Sunday. Since on Sunday families come in huge numbers in the multiplexes. If a good jump is noticed on Sunday then the film will surely do good business in the long run.

Oh My God did a business of 3.75 to 4 crore nett on its first day which is poor. The business in Gujarat where the film performed best is average but the collection elsewhere is very low.

In Delhi/UP the film collected 75 to 80 lakhs, in Mumbai the film collected 1.50 crore due to good business in Gujarat. Eastern & southern parts of India is very low & central India is low with a collection of 55 lakhs approximately. The film was banned in few places of Punjab that is why the film did not performed well there.

If the film grows 25% to 30% on Saturday & Sunday then the film will score well at the box office.

Cover Story - The Ultimate Interview is an upcoming thriller Bollywood movie starring Jackie Shroff & Anjum Nayar. The movie has been directed by Hollywood director Laurence Postma. It has been inspired from a dutch film named Interview directed by Theo Van Gogh released in the year 2003. It was first remade in 2007 by Steve Buscemi.

The story is based on an interview of a popular & successful film actress & model Anjum Nayar taken by a journalist cum reporter Jackie Shroff. The interview was just a one night stand between these two characters. And as a result the actress becomes more famous & popular.

The film has been produced by a team of four - Sunitha Ram, Laurence Postma, Ram Samtani & Pappee Sangtani & is distributed under the banner of Glorious Entertainment. Written by Laurence Postma & Farrukh Dhondy. The music is composed by Monty Sharma & Shamir Tandon.

Jacjie Shroff was born on 1^st  February 1957. He has acted in both Gujrati films & Hindi films for about 30 years in more than 150 films. He has done films in Hindi, Gujrati, Tamil, Telegu,Malayalam, Bengali, Kannada, Marathi.

His original name is Jai Kishen Shroff & his parents are Kaku Bhai & Rita Shroff. They resided at Walkeshwar Mumbai near Teen Batti Area. He first became a model. He was first launched in the movie Hero by producer cum director Subhash Ghai & gave him the name Jackie.

Jackie Shroff married his girlfriend Ayesha Dutt in the 80s who later became producer of his movies. They then purchased a Flat at Bandra Bandstad between Shah Rukh Khan’s Mannat & Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartments & shifted to that house.

They opened a production house named Jackie Shroff Entertainment Limited.They have a son Tiger & a daughter Krishna.

In the year 1983 he made Hero with Meenakshi Sheshadri, Shammi Kapoor, Sanjeev Kumar & Omrish Puri. The film was made by Subhash Ghai. Is film "Barfi" a Copycat ?

Barfi is an Anurag Basu film which has created a lot of Buzz among the audience & has been selected for the Oscars. But do we know the fact? It is mainly a copy of many Hollywood films most of which are classics.

Barfi is mainly a love story between two especial people & has been selected for the Oscars. Nevertheless we are very proud of that. But we cannot deny the fact that it has been copied from various Hollywood classic films. The director has admitted that it is inspired from Charlie Chaplin but he did not mention the other names. We will now show you the total picture of Barfi.

The base of this Bollywood film Barfi has a strong resemblance with the Hollywood film Benny & Joon released in the year 1993 & the Korean film Oasis released in 2002. And not only this, one of the composition of Pritam in this movie has been copied collectively from the tune of Yann Tiersen from the movie Amelie released in the year 2001.

The scene where Ranbir woke up under a covered statue has been copied from Charlie Chaplin's City of Light released in the year 1931. And the scene where Ranbir tries to get rid of a sticky paper while putting up posters in Kolkata has been copied from an episode of Mr Bean named Back to School.

The scene where Ranbir entertains Priyanka by sticking papers on eyelids & lips has been copied from Mr Bean's Holiday which released in the year 2007. The scene where Ranbir chased by cops rides a bicycle through narrow lanes has been copied from Jackie Chan's Project A released in the year 1983. And the ladder scene by Ranbir Kapoor has been copied from Buster Keaton's Cops released in the year 1922.


And this is not all, the scene where Rupa Ganguly introduces Ilieana D'cruz to her former boyfriend & the scene where Priyanka Chopra snuggle up Ranbir in the hospital bed have been inspired from the movie The Notebook which released in 2004.

Bad News - Joker is a huge Flop, Good News - Akshay & Twinkle blessed with a baby girl

Joker starring Akshay Kumar & Sonakshi Sinha directed by Shirish Kunder released all over India on 31st August. But nothing went right for the film. First of all the slapgate incident which happened between Shairish & SRK made all SRK fans & industry people very angry over Shirish. Next Akshay the lead actor of the film remain aloof from the film promotion.

The songs were not liked by the public. As if Joker was already a huge flop even before its release. And that happened trully. All the critics thrashed it very badly. It didnt get an opening. And as days passed the collections went down & down. The paying audience also did'nt turn out to see the film. 

In its second week the collection of Ek Tha Tiger which is in its 4th week are higher than that of Joker. And lastly came Raaz 3 to bid a final goodbye to Joker. With a very poor 20 Cr collection in its 1st week, Joker will end up its final run within 26-27 Cr range of collection. This movie records the second lowest collection for an Akshay Kumar starrer after 8*10 Tasveer.

Joker is the second directorial venture of Shirish Kunder whose directorial debut was Jaan-e-man. This is the second film of the pair Akshay Kumar & Sonakshi Sinha. Previously they wre seen together in the movie Rowdy Rathore which was a Blockbuster.

At first there were rumors that Joker is Akshay’s 100^th film but later he clarified that he completed his 100^th 

film long before he signed Joker & Joker may be his 115^th film.

The film has been jointly produced by Shirish Kunder, Farah Khan & Akshay Kumar under the banner of Three’s Company & Hari Om Entertainment. The film was shot entirely on 3D cameras & was scheduled to release in 3D but in th fear of becoming Flop & loss for the distributors the decision was taken to release the film only in 2D.

The film was shot in Ludhiana, Chandigarh & Mumbai. 


Shirish has stopped tweeting since the release of Joker. But Akshay may well turnaround with his forthcoming movies Oh My God & Khiladi 786.

Heroine has good weekend but the trending is poor

Kareena Kapoor starrer Heroine released on 21st September. There are news from the industry people that Theatrical trailers of Race 2 & Talaash is set to release with Heroine. 

We have already seen a 75 sec promo of Talaash on Jan 25 & at that time the movie was schedule to release on May 1 just after IPL. But before the release of Talaash the movie Kahaani starring Vidya Balan came out & became Blockbuster

Heroine collected approximately 22.50 crore nett in its first weekend. On Friday the movie collected 7 crore, on Saturday it collected 7.25 crore & on Sunday the movie collected 7.75-8 crore nett.

The film did good business on Friday but could not capitalise on that & could mot make any improvements on Saturday & Sunday. At some places the collections of the movie on Sunday is even lower than the collections on Friday which does not indicate any good sign for the movie.


The weekend total of 22.50 crore nett is a good amount for a film like Heroine since it has no A lister hero in it but the trending of the movie suggests that it may struggle from Monday onwards. In mass areas the film has not performed well but did fair business in Mumbai & Delhi cities.

Heroine is a Kareena Kapoor starrer movie Co-produced, Co-written & directed by Madhur Bhandarkar. The role of the aspiring actress is played by Kareena Kapoor. The name of this character is Mahi Arora. The other starcast consists of Arjun Rampal as Aryan Khanna, Randeep Hooda as Angad Paul, Rakesh Bapat, Shahana Goswami, Divya Dutta, Mugdha Godse, Helen, Shilpi Sharma, Lillete Dubey & Ranvir Shorey as guest appearance. The music has been composed by Salim Sulaiman.

On the other hand Barfi collected a whopping 15 crore nett in its second weekend. The second weekend collection of Barfi is similar to the second weekend collection of big films like Bol Bachchan & Agneepath. The only big films which have collections better than the second weekend collection of Barfi are Rowdy Rathore, Housefull 2 & Ek Tha Tiger.

Riteish's "Grand Masti" the sequel of "Masti" & "Balak Palak"

We all know about the film Masti. It stars Vivek Oberoi, Aftab Shivdasani & Riteish Deshmukh. In the film all of them were married & well settled. But fed up with their wives they decided to make extra marital affairs. But coincidentally all of them choose the same lady played by Lara Dutta & in the circumstances fall pray to a huge conspiracy. This movie was a good success & audiences liked it a lot.

Now the producers & director have come with a new idea with the sequel Grand Masti. In the sequel all the leading men will be same but instead of having affairs with the same lady they will have different girlfriends.

After a gap of eight years the director Indra Kumar has come up with this idea. He is calling Masti Bollywood's Hangover. Just like that Hollywood film this film also left everyone surprised, shocked & entertained.

According to the producer Ashok Thakeria Masti is the first film where the the lead actors are bold enoh to have extra marital affairs. And in the sequel the story becomes more bolder. Indra Kumar says that the sequel is also an adult comedy but it will be more entertaining.

This producer director combo have also made Dhamaal & Double Dhamaal. While the eariler was a hit but the later failed to impress the audience. They demand that they are not making the sequel just to make a sequel but they have prepared the script & have come up with a good new story to lure the audience.


15 days shooting of the movie has already been completed & now the team want to wrap up the movie by November so that the film can be released in summer 2013. The producer of Grand Masti is Maruti International.

The original film Masti directed by Indra Kumar released in the year 2004. It was a comedy film starring Vivek Oberoi, Aftab Sivdasani, Riteish Deshmukh, Lara Dutta, Tara Sharma, Genelia D’souza & Ajay Devgan. The film released on 9^th of September 2004 & was a major hit at the Box office & also applauded by the critics.

Heroine has good first day but fails to show growth on Saturday

Heroine collected a good 7 Cr nett on Friday as per as early estimates. The collection is pretty good. Heroine  has a female lead & there is no male lead in the film. So if we go by that then a female lead oriented film does very weak business in India. But Heroine has overcome that & has come out with flying colours.

But still collections are not upto the mark because the movie had a very wider release. The film performed very well in mass centers & it has beaten the collection of Barfi there. But in Multiplexes the collections were lower than Barfi by 20-25%. In premium multiplexes the collections are much lower than Barfi.

The audince report for the film is not encouraging but still it will show some growth on both Saturday & Sunday. Barfi has affected the business of Heroine in mutiplexes since Barfi has been hugely applauded by the multiplex audience.

Barfi is very strong in multiplexes on its 8th day as it collected 3.25 Cr nett as per early estimates. It dropped 60% from day 1 which is very good. The normal drop is 70% as does by big films so the drop for Barfi is pretty low. The total collection of Barfi as of now is 61 Cr nett approximately including its 8th day.

The major contribution of the film came from areas like Mumbai, Delhi, Punjab, West Bengal & Mysore. But the mass centers under performed.

Heroine is also a multiplex oriented film & it has been promoted very well but despite the release of Heroine Barfi remained rock steady especially in the multiplexes. Both Saturday & Sunday will witness a very good jump for Barfi & the second weekend will end up with very good numbers.

Heroine collected better in multiplexes with 55% occupancy while single screens were much lower wth 35-40% occupancy. With mixed word of mouth its remain to be seen how well it does over the rest of the weekend.

Hrithik Roshan to do the hindi remake of Knight & Day

Remakes have now become very popular in Bollywood. Everybody is very eager to do remake of successful films. And all the remakes are becoming smash Hits. This has now become the success mantra of Bollywood.

In 2008 Aamir Khan started this trend by making Ghajini which was a remake of a south film & than Salman Khan followed the tradition with Wanted.

All the A lister actors have started doing action remakes to enter into the 100 crore club. After doing some emotional movies like Guzaarish & Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara Hrithik Roshan has also stepped into action. He started off with Agneepath which became very successful & he entered into the 100 crore club. Then he is shooting right now for Krrish 3 where he plays a Superhero. And now he has decided to play the role of Tom Cruise in the remake of Knight & Day. This movie became huge hit in the year 2010.

This remake will be directed by Siddharth Anand & will be produced by Fox Star Studios. Hrithik will start shooting for this movie after he completes shooting for Krrish 3.

This is Siddharth Anand's second film after Anjana Anjaani which he did two years back. But the leading lady opposite Hrithik has not been finalised yet. But soon it will be finalised & an official announcement will be made. Since the co-star has to play the role of Cameron Diaz this is a very tough choice.

James Mangold's Knight & Day is a action-comedy & romantic film & was shot on a very large scale across different parts of the globe. The producers will take the same strategy for the remake also. The film is about a spy who is on the run.

Knight and Day is a romantic action comedy released in the year 2010. The film was earlier titled as Wichita & then Trouble Man. The direction was given by James Mangold.

The producer of the movie earlier chose many actors to play the lead roles in the movie. They are Will Smith, Chris Tucker & Gerard Butler. But ultimately they ended up with Tom Cruise & Cameron Diaz. The shooting was done in several places of Massachusetts, Spain & Austria.

Barfi's excellent first week collection & its entry into the Oscars

Barfi collected 57.50 Cr nett in its first week as per as early estimates which is just excellent. During the weekdays Barfi was very strong & collected approximately 23.50 Cr nett. Wednesday was a holiday & the movie benefited from it but Thursday was a bandh & the movie suffered for that.

Although there was Bandh on Thursday the major collectors of Barfi that is Delhi & Mumbai cities which remained mainly unaffected from the Bandh show good collections of Barfi. The collection of Barfi in these two major cities mainly remain unaffected due to Bandh.

The first week collection of Barfi is the highest collection ever for a movie of this genre as it is not a masala entertainer as the movie got universal appeal from all over India & has been liked by mass audience.

Barfi showed good jump in collection on wednesday since wednesday was holiday in different parts of the country & Thursday was Bandh all over India. Mainly Maharashtra & Karnataka were holiday on wednesday. The collection on Wednesday was approximately 7 Cr which is excellent. In Mysore the collection on wednesday were nearly twice the collection on Tuesday.

First glimpse of Abhishek & Aishwarya's daughter Aradhya Bachchan

After a long wait now we have presented you the first glimpse of the daughter of Abhashek & Aishwarya's daughter exclusively on Bollywoodtsunami.

Aradhya Bachchan was born on 16th of November 2011 in Mumbai. She became popular in the name of Beti B among fans & media. It took long four months to name the little baby & ultimately the parents name her Aradhya Bachchan in March 2012.

In the year 1994 when Sushmita Sen won the Miss India crown she won the second place. In the same year she won the Miss World crown in South Africa.

In the year 1999 she began her affair with bollywood superstar Salman Khan. But in the year 2001 they got separated. Aishwarya explained the reason as verbal, physical & emotional abuse by Salman Khan. But Salman Khan denied that he never hit a woman.

Barfi's entire weekend collection including Monday

The censor board gives U certificate to Barfi. Anurag Basu is very excited about it. His previous movies Murder, Gangster, Life in a metro all got A certificate & Kites got U/A certificate. The story of Barfi revolves around a deaf mute boy played by Ranbir Kapoor. The film also marks the debut of telegu actress Ileana D'Cruz in bollywood.

Barfi directed by Anurag Basu is a comedy film. Ranbir Kapoor is in the main lead. He plays a deaf, mute boy from Nepal. The movie was previously titled as Khamoshi but then the title was changed to Barfi. The starcast of the film consists of Ranbir Kapoor as Murphy Johnson also known as Ranbir Pratap Singh, Priyanka Chopra as Jhilmil Chatterjee, Ileana D Cruz as Shruti Ghosh/Sengupta, Rahul Garg, Saurabh Shukla, Sumona Charavarty, Bhola Raja Sapkota & Jishu Sengupta. The music has been composed by Pritam. The film is expected to take a Bumper opening at the Multiplexes of the Metros. 

Barfi collected huge in its first weekend. According to early estimates it has collected approximately 34 Cr nett in its first weekend. The film opened excellent in Metro Multiplexes on Friday but & the the multiplexes at other places which were lower on Friday picked up hugely on Saturday & Sunday.

By Sunday the film perfomed exceptionally well all over apart from few single screens accross the country.

The film was released in 700 theatres & nearly 1300 screens all over India & this type of collection with this type of release size is very good. The occupancy in the multiplexes were nearly 100% all over the country. Generally big openers have huge releases which vary from 2500 screens to 3500 screens, but releasing only on 1300 screens & collecting such huge is a great achievement.

If we go by the trending of the movie then the movie is sure to hold up well on weekdays as the mutiplexes will witness a very strong collection. This is the highest collection in the weekend for a Ranbir Kapoor starrer the last one was multistarrer Rajneeti which collected 33 Cr nett in its first weekend.

Barfi Movie Review - 3.5 Star

Life is a gift, a especial gift from GOD. We should not waste life. We should enjoy each & every second of life, each & every moment of life. We have received this type of messages from many earlier films like Anand, Kal Ho Na Ho etc. This is the main summary of Barfi. Rather, this is the main theme & moral of Barfi.

When we see handicapped people or people with physical dassabilities we think that they are very unhappy & they live in a dark world. But Barfi proved that it is totally wrong.

No genre can define Barfi as it only says that Life is precious & beautiful which in a true sense touches the chord of Heart. Barfi teaches us not waste any moment of life & live it just like a King. Barfi is mainly a love story of such a beautiful but physically challenged guy who always remains happy & his romance first with a classy & simple girl Shruti & then with an autistic girl whose name is Jhilmil.

In this movie Ranbir Kapoor plays the character of Barfi. His parents call him Murphy. He is a happy go lucky guy always ready to do something new & always plays pranks with ladies. He cannot speak nor he can listen anyone still he is very popular in Darjeeling.

He had relationship with two beautiful ladies in the movie. The first one is Shruti the character played by Ileana D Cruz & then Jhilmil the character played by Priyanka Chopra. In the mean course many sweet as well as bitter things happened in the life of Barfi which has changed his life upside down.

Anurag Basu is the director of the movie. He is a great storyteller. It is a very simple story & the credit of the movie lies within this simpleness. Barfi is a very confident & courageous guy, he is not violent. Barfi is all about love & sacrifice. The story is handled with great care & sensitivity.

Pritam has given the music of this movie. He again surpassed all the expectations. He has done a marvelous job. His songs are just like poetry, smoothes the ear. Two of the three main characters are speechless in the movie that is why the background score plays a very important role in this movie & Pritam has done that with utmost care. He has delivered one of his best creations in this movie. Ravi Verman is the cinematographer & he also deserves especial mention. The locations were so beautiful it only cools your eyes.

"Barfi" has very good First Day

Barfi has very very good first day. The collections are huge. The first day numbers are around 8.5 cr nett approximately. The collections at the multiplexes in the Metro areas are very good & that is why the numbers are so good.

The movie showed average collection in multiplexes outside Metro areas & the collection at single screens are also very low. If we compare the collection of Barfi with his last release Rockstar then the collection of Barfi is similar or better than Rockstar in Metro multiplexes but elsewhere the collection is lower.

The release count of Barfi is also less that is why the total collection of Barfi came down to around 1 crore lesser than that of Rockstar. The film will turn out to be a success because of its good business in the Metro multiplexes & if the collection in the multiplexes outside Metros & single screens show a good jump on saturday then the film will be a huge hit & will run comfortably for 2 weeks at the Boxoffice.

The places where Barfi did good business are Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Bangalore & Kolkata & the places where the collections are lower are UP, Bihar, CI, Gujrat & Rajasthan. In the multiplexes the business of Barfi is the third highest in this year after Ek Tha Tiger & Agneepath. The PVR & Inox multiplexes scored even better than Agneepath. In mumbai the occupancy level was 85% which is next to Ek Tha Tiger & Agneepath. Ek Tha Tiger collected 17 - 18 Cr at multiplexes on day 1 & Agneepath collected  12.5 Cr in multiplexes on day 1. The first day collection of Barfi at multiplexes is approximately 7.5 Cr. The single screen collections were very low as the release was limited. If we compare the collection of Barfi & Rockstar in the multiplexes of Gurgaon then the Barfi numbers are higher.

Raj Babbar will be seen playing a politician in the film Bullet Raja

Raj Babbar a popular hero from yesteryear's, currently a MP of Firozabad has just become a grandfather. In this success party he was offered the role of a politician in the film Bullet Raja by director Timangshu Dhulia & producer Rahul Mitra. Without any hesitation he accepted the role.

The film also stars Saif Ali Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Jimmy Shergill, Gulshan Grover & Irfan Khan. Raj Babbar will also be seen in Timangshu Dhulia's Saheb Biwi aur Gangstar sequel.  

The director of the movie Timangshu Dhulia is very busy in the pre production of the movie Bullet Raja. He is also busy in completing his latest film Saheb Biwi Aur Gangstar returns.

Sonakshi has been selected to play the female lead in the movie after Saif Ali Khan was selected to play the male lead. Sonakshi will be seen playing the role of a modern, educated Bengali girl in this movie Bullet Raja.

While Saif Ali Khan will be playing the lead Hero in the movie Jimmy Shergill will be seen playing the arch rival of Saif Ali Khan in the movie.

The story of the movie is all about two gangstars. One of which will be played by Saif Ali Khan & the other will be played by Jimmy Shergill.

There will be a lot of action in the movie. Beside all these characters the director has also selected Irfan Khan to play a pivotal & very important role in the movie.

The film will be shot in different locations of Kolkata, Mumbai & Lucknow.The film will go on floors in the month of November.

  

After Bullet Raja Timangshu Dhulia will start his another new project Milan Talkies. Milan Talkies is the story love story of a small town boy which will be played by Imran Khan & the film will be produced by Ekta Kapoor.
