Subhash Ghai the showman
of bollywood has signed Salim Sulaiman & Ismail Darbar for his upcoming
directorial venture which will go on floors on oct 24th which is also the 34th
anniversary of Mukta Arts. They will compose the music of the movie with
lyricist Irshad Kamil.
Subhash Ghai has given us
many musical Blockbuster films like Kaalicharan, Vidhata (Kalyanji Anandji),
Karz, Ram Lakhan, Khalnayak (Laxmikant Pyarelal), Pardes (Nadeem Shravan), Taal
(A R Rahman). The first song of the movie will be recorded on in Mumbai on
September 18.
Ismail Darbar was born on
1st June 1964 at Surat in Gujarat. In his earlier days he used to
play violin for top notch music directors like Laxmikant Pyarelal, Kalyanji
Anandji, Bappi Lahiri, Rajesh Roshan, Anand Milind, Nadeem Shravan, Jatin Lalit
& A R Rahman.
He started his bollywood
career with the film Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. He also
gave the music of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Devdas. Earlier he played violin for
Jatin Lalit in the film Khamoshi. After Devdas he did not work with Sanjay
Leela Bhansali any more due to some personal differences. In 2005 he gave music
for the film Kisna by Subhash Ghai. But after that he did not get much chance
to prove himself. Now Ghai has again considered him for his new project. Hope
he does justice to the film.
Salim Merchant &
Sulaiman Merchan are two brothers born in Bhuj, India. They belong to a Muslim
family. Their father Sadruddin Merchant used to play orchestra. Going by the
family tradition Salim experted in playing Piano & Sulaiman in Tabla. In
the year 2003 they became popular music directors in India.
They gave their first
award winning performance in Ram Gopal Verma’s Bhoot. Then they gave good music
in films like Chak De India, Rab Ne Banadi Jodi, Fashion, Kaal, Iqbal, Aaja Nachle,
Kurbaan, Band Baja Baraat, Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl, Heroine, Chkravyuh etc. Now
again they got a chance to show their caliber in this Subhash Ghai movie. Hope
they compose fantastic tracks to please the audience.
