Ismail Darbar & Salim Sulaiman signed by Subhash Ghai


Subhash Ghai the showman of bollywood has signed Salim Sulaiman & Ismail Darbar for his upcoming directorial venture which will go on floors on oct 24th which is also the 34th anniversary of Mukta Arts. They will compose the music of the movie with lyricist Irshad Kamil.

Subhash Ghai has given us many musical Blockbuster films like Kaalicharan, Vidhata (Kalyanji Anandji), Karz, Ram Lakhan, Khalnayak (Laxmikant Pyarelal), Pardes (Nadeem Shravan), Taal (A R Rahman). The first song of the movie will be recorded on in Mumbai on September 18.

Ismail Darbar was born on 1st June 1964 at Surat in Gujarat. In his earlier days he used to play violin for top notch music directors like Laxmikant Pyarelal, Kalyanji Anandji, Bappi Lahiri, Rajesh Roshan, Anand Milind, Nadeem Shravan, Jatin Lalit & A R Rahman.

He started his bollywood career with the film Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. He also gave the music of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Devdas. Earlier he played violin for Jatin Lalit in the film Khamoshi. After Devdas he did not work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali any more due to some personal differences. In 2005 he gave music for the film Kisna by Subhash Ghai. But after that he did not get much chance to prove himself. Now Ghai has again considered him for his new project. Hope he does justice to the film.

Salim Merchant & Sulaiman Merchan are two brothers born in Bhuj, India. They belong to a Muslim family. Their father Sadruddin Merchant used to play orchestra. Going by the family tradition Salim experted in playing Piano & Sulaiman in Tabla. In the year 2003 they became popular music directors in India.


They gave their first award winning performance in Ram Gopal Verma’s Bhoot. Then they gave good music in films like Chak De India, Rab Ne Banadi Jodi, Fashion, Kaal, Iqbal, Aaja Nachle, Kurbaan, Band Baja Baraat, Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl, Heroine, Chkravyuh etc. Now again they got a chance to show their caliber in this Subhash Ghai movie. Hope they compose fantastic tracks to please the audience.

Gulshan Grover in Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol & Dharmendra starrer "Yamla Pagla Deewana 2"

We all know about Yamla Pagla Deewana starring Dharmendra, Sunny & Bobby Deol which was released last year & was a Huge hit. Now the Father Son combo is doing the sequel of this mega Blockbuster the first look of which we have already seen earlier in this website. 

The "Bad Man" of Bollywood Gulshan Grover will be playing a pivotal role in the sequel. He will be seen as a crazy & funny villain in this movie. His get up has also be changed to suit the role of the villain. The film will be releasing next year & will go on floors very soon.

Gulshan Gover was born in the year 1955 on 21st of September. He has worked more than 30 years in the bollywood film industry & has done more than 400 films. He is popularly known as the Badman of bollywood since he always plays the role of a villain. He was born in Delhi. He also became producer in later years. 

He won the Best actor award at the Houston Film Festival for his role of Dada Bhagwan. In 2012 he won the Stardust Searchlight Award for best actor for the movie I am Kalam. In 2011 he won the National award for best supporting actor for his supporting role in the movie I am Kalam.

Now he has bagged a very good role in the movie Yamla Pagla Deewana 2. The original Yamla Pagla Deewana was a huge hit. Definitely in this sequel Gulshan Grover will show some of his acting skills. Lets hope for the best & wait for the movie to release.

Karan Deol son of Sunny Deol is making his entry into Bollywood with the three Deols in Yamla Pagla Deewana 2. Karan Deol is popularly known as Rocky in the film industry. The shooting of this Blockbuster sequel has been started last week at United Kingdom. Rocky made the first clap when the shooting of the film started. Rocky also helped the director of the film Sangeeth Sivan while directing the film.

Yamla Pagla Deewana released in 2011 was a big Hit. The movie was directed by Samir Karnik. The movie featured Dharmendra, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Kulraj Randhawa, Nafisa Ali, Emma Brown Garett, Anupam Kher, Mukul Dev, Johny Lever, Puneet Issar, Himanshu Malik & Sucheta Khanna. The story was narrated by Ajay Devgan.
