All about "Cover Story - The Ultimate Interview" starring Jackie Shroff & Anjum Nayar

Cover Story - The Ultimate Interview is an upcoming thriller Bollywood movie starring Jackie Shroff & Anjum Nayar. The movie has been directed by Hollywood director Laurence Postma. It has been inspired from a dutch film named Interview directed by Theo Van Gogh released in the year 2003. It was first remade in 2007 by Steve Buscemi.

The story is based on an interview of a popular & successful film actress & model Anjum Nayar taken by a journalist cum reporter Jackie Shroff. The interview was just a one night stand between these two characters. And as a result the actress becomes more famous & popular.

The film has been produced by a team of four - Sunitha Ram, Laurence Postma, Ram Samtani & Pappee Sangtani & is distributed under the banner of Glorious Entertainment. Written by Laurence Postma & Farrukh Dhondy. The music is composed by Monty Sharma & Shamir Tandon.

Jacjie Shroff was born on 1^st  February 1957. He has acted in both Gujrati films & Hindi films for about 30 years in more than 150 films. He has done films in Hindi, Gujrati, Tamil, Telegu,Malayalam, Bengali, Kannada, Marathi.

His original name is Jai Kishen Shroff & his parents are Kaku Bhai & Rita Shroff. They resided at Walkeshwar Mumbai near Teen Batti Area. He first became a model. He was first launched in the movie Hero by producer cum director Subhash Ghai & gave him the name Jackie.

Jackie Shroff married his girlfriend Ayesha Dutt in the 80s who later became producer of his movies. They then purchased a Flat at Bandra Bandstad between Shah Rukh Khan’s Mannat & Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartments & shifted to that house.

They opened a production house named Jackie Shroff Entertainment Limited.They have a son Tiger & a daughter Krishna.

Jackie Shroff started his career with the film Swami Dada which was a Dev Anand’s film.

In the year 1983 he made Hero with Meenakshi Sheshadri, Shammi Kapoor, Sanjeev Kumar & Omrish Puri. The film was made by Subhash Ghai. The film became Super Hit & both Jachie Shroff & Meenakshi Sheshadri became huge stars. From then on Jackie started his friendship with Subhash Ghai & till today he is very fond of film. Nowadays also he is known by the name Jackie Dada which was his character’s name in Hero.

From then on till today he has done more than 150 films. He is very fond of Anil Kapoor & has done many films together like Yudh, Karma, Parinda, Andar Bahar, Ram Lakhan, 1942 a Love Story etc.

Jackie Shroff gave some solid performances in movies like Parinda released in the year 1989, Angaar released in the year 1992, Gardish released in the year 1993, Aaina in the year 1993, Border in the year 1997, Lajja in the year 2001 & Devdas in the year 2002.

Jackie Shroff is all set to play a major role in Dhoom 3.

For Parinda he won the Filmfare Best Actor Award in the year 1990. In the year 1995 he won the Filmfare Best Supporting Actor for 1942 a Love Story. In 1996 he won the Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award for the movie Rangeela. In the year 2007 he won the Special Honour Jury Award or his huge contribution to Indian Cenema.

Now his movie Cover Story has come into limelight & has created a lot of Buzz.

Anjum Nayyar who is the lead pair opposite Jackie Shroff admits that her role in the movie has no resemblance to Kareena Kapoor’s role in Heroine. But she also admitted that when she came into the Film industry she changed her name from Anjum to Sheena but when she lost her father with whom she was very much emotionally attached with she again changed her name to Anjum.

Within all these speculations we expect Cover Story – The Ultimate Interview scores at the Box office & brings success yet again in the career of the lead stars.

The movie is schedule to release on 28th September 2012
